Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, password credentials, and account preferences.
- Early Access information: name, email address, broker, trading platform, and related signup details.
- Broker connection information: selected broker, account identifiers, API keys or other credentials you choose to connect, and connection settings.
- Rules and journal information: trading limits, lock settings, journal entries, notes, and other content you enter.
- Communications: messages and support requests you send to us.
Information collected through the service
- Trading and account data: balances, positions, orders, executions, profit and loss, symbols, timestamps, and related broker data needed to provide monitoring and rule-enforcement features.
- Technical and security data: IP address, browser or device information, user-agent data, timestamps, authentication events, diagnostic information, and security or audit logs.
- Session data: a strictly necessary session cookie used to keep you signed in and protect your account.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve Shomerion;
- authenticate users and secure accounts;
- connect to supported brokers at your direction;
- monitor trading activity and apply the rules you configure;
- maintain journals, performance summaries, and audit records;
- process Early Access requests and communicate service updates;
- respond to support requests and troubleshoot problems;
- detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents; and
- comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, your consent, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service.
3. Broker connections and credentials
When you connect a supported broker or exchange, Shomerion communicates with that provider using the credentials and permissions you authorize. Broker credentials stored by Shomerion are encrypted. Passwords are stored using one-way hashing rather than as readable passwords. No security measure is completely risk-free, and you remain responsible for limiting broker permissions and protecting your account.
4. How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information:
- with brokers, exchanges, and integration providers when you direct us to connect your account;
- with hosting, email, security, and infrastructure providers that help us operate the service;
- when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
- to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Shomerion, or others; or
- as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
Service providers may use information only to perform services for us and must handle it consistently with their obligations.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Shomerion uses a strictly necessary authentication cookie to maintain your signed-in session and help protect the service. At this time, the Shomerion website does not use third-party advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but account and dashboard features may not work correctly.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and why it is processed. We may retain limited records after account closure where required or permitted by law.
7. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a local data-protection authority.
To make a request, email support@shomerion.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Certain information may be retained where permitted or required by law.
8. International data transfers
Shomerion and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and apply the protections described in this Policy.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls, hashed passwords, encrypted broker secrets, secure sessions, and audit logging. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
Shomerion is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. We may provide additional notice when changes are material.
