Shomerion

TradeZero risk controls

An independent risk-control layer for compatible TradeZero accounts

Shomerion connects to a compatible TradeZero account as independent software. It monitors user-defined trading rules in the cloud and can request configured risk-reducing actions through the broker API.

What the TradeZero connection is for

Shomerion uses the configured TradeZero API connection to read the account state needed for rule evaluation. That can include positions, open orders, executions, and profit-and-loss information available through the connection.

The connection does not make Shomerion part of TradeZero. Shomerion is not TradeZero software, is not an official TradeZero product, and does not claim endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership. TradeZero’s services, availability, permissions, and terms remain separate.

From a user-selected rule to a broker response

  1. Connect the intended account. The trader supplies the required TradeZero account details and credentials through the protected backend settings.
  2. Define and lock rules. Daily loss, trade-count, and trading-window rules are stored on the server with their active lock state.
  3. Monitor in the cloud. Shomerion polls and streams available account information to evaluate the active limits.
  4. Respond to a breach. When enabled, it can attempt to cancel open orders and submit actions intended to flatten remaining positions.
  5. Verify at TradeZero. The trader confirms actual orders, fills, and positions directly in the broker platform.
Compatible access is required

Available behavior depends on the TradeZero account, API access, credentials, permissions, endpoints, and deployment configuration. A connection that cannot supply timely data or accept an action cannot provide reliable enforcement.

Why an external layer has limits

Shomerion can request an action, but TradeZero and the market determine whether and how it executes. Network failures, API outages, delayed data, rate limits, rejected orders, trading halts, partial fills, slippage, price gaps, and fast markets can delay or prevent the intended result.

For that reason, Shomerion should complement—not replace—direct account supervision, broker-native controls, suitable permissions, and an emergency process for managing positions at TradeZero.

Is Shomerion made or endorsed by TradeZero?

No. Shomerion is independent software. It is not TradeZero software and does not claim endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership.

What can Shomerion monitor in a compatible TradeZero account?

With the required access and configuration, Shomerion uses account, position, order, execution, and P&L data to evaluate active rules.

Can Shomerion cancel TradeZero orders or close positions?

When configured and permitted, Shomerion can attempt to cancel open orders and submit actions intended to flatten positions after a breach. Completion is not guaranteed.
